McD Philpotts is an environmental artist and craftsman who creates art, furniture and canoes from green sourced woods. The art and furniture he now specializes in can best be described as contemporary Hawaiian designs that employ beautiful contrasting woods salvaged from urban timber often discarded as green waste. The wood is cut on his sawmill and dried in a passive solar kiln. His products now reflect the environmental conscience from fine traditional Hawaiian Koa furniture to beautiful art with a wonderful green message.
